To setup your Pianola account, you'll want to import your players' details - ACBL number, email address, etc. You might hold this data in your own spreadsheet or database, or you can export it from ACBLscore. Here's how:
In ACBLscore, go the Data Base menu and choose Reports / Exports
Choose 12 Comma delimited file for import into DBASE, ACCESS, etc
You can restrict the export by a variety of criteria, such as unit number, zip, state, etc.
You can choose more than one restriction. To be compliant with the ACBL's Terms of Use we recommend you choose 11 Restrict by Local active date and select players who have been to your club in, say, the past twelve months.
When you have chosen a restriction, you will get a screen to choose which fields to include in your export.
Click on a field name to include in the export file. Selected fields turn red. Pianola supports the following fields:
- Last name
- First name
- Player number
- Street 1
- Street 2
- City
- State / Province
- Zip / postal code
- Home phone
- Gender
When you have selected a field, it turns red.
Choose where to save the export file. By default it will have the name DBASE.CSV but you can change this if you wish.
